This is Serena He, child sales officer from Yisheng. Let's discuss how to use 422 acid welding rod correctly for vertical welding.
Recently, many friends have asked me why it is so difficult for me to weld vertically using 422 acid welding rod? After welding, many defects will appear, such as undercuts, sagging, skewness, and uneven welding. These are all problems that many novice friends encounter when welding.
Reasons for molten iron falling tumors:
1. Current too high
2. The arc is too high, which means that the end of the welding rod is too far from the base material to drag the molten iron, causing it to fall.
3. When the welding rod swings left and right, the middle is too slow and there is no pause on both sides.
4. The angle of the welding rod is incorrect.
Resolvent:
1. The correct welding rod angle is to tilt the welding rod downwards at about 80 degrees, and the welding rod angle is 45 degrees in the middle of the weld seam.
2. Avoid using a crescent shaped welding technique to avoid high current, as this technique can control the molten iron to fall down.
If the current and temperature are appropriate, use a serrated welding method for welding.
Welding technique:
The angle in the middle is particularly deep. When the welding rod swings left and right, try to lower it in the middle as much as possible, and when the welding rod swings to both sides, it slightly moves outward.
The 422 welding rod is prone to slag inclusion at the middle corner during vertical corner welding. We try to use arc welding or arc welding to apply a thin layer of bottom layer and then cover it with a layer.
Welding process:
Firstly, use a 422 diameter 3.2 acid welding rod and maintain the welding angle at around 70 to 80 degrees.
The arc length should be controlled around two millimeters. The arc length refers to the distance between the end of the welding rod and the welding piece after the welding rod is ignited, which is controlled to be about 2 millimeters.
In the welding method, we use a serrated shape, and according to the length of time we choose to stay on both sides and the speed of pulling in the middle, each arc should be pressed to 1/2 or seemingly 3/5 of the other arc, and the welding distance should be equal. The left and right strips must be transported at a uniform speed, and the dwell time on both sides must be consistent.
Due to the extremely thin molten iron, the 422 welding rod must ensure that the slag tightly wraps around the molten iron during the entire welding process to prevent it from falling. When welding swings to both sides, it is necessary to fully integrate and straighten the edges on both sides. The following is the rendering of welding forming.
